Waste Wise Initiative at Community (WWIC): Empowering Sustainable Waste Management

Welcome to the “Waste Wise Initiative at Community (WWIC)” program, a collaborative effort by Green Smith Nepal and Local Communities! 

Our mission is to create environmentally conscious neighborhoods where waste is managed efficiently. Here’s how we’re turning waste into wisdom at the community level:

What We Do
  1. Training and Capacity Building: We conduct comprehensive training sessions for community members, including residents, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders. These workshops cover waste segregation techniques, responsible handling, and the importance of waste management.
  2. Workshops and Awareness Campaigns: Engaging workshops and awareness campaigns are organized to educate the community about waste reduction, recycling, and proper disposal. We believe that informed residents make better waste management choices.
  3. Infrastructure Setup: Together, we establish infrastructure for waste collection, storage, and segregation within the community. Properly designed waste bins, designated areas, and transfer stations ensure efficient waste management.
  4. Streamlined Waste Channels: Our goal is to channel waste into the right streams—whether it’s organic, recyclable, or hazardous. By doing so, we contribute to a cleaner environment and healthier living spaces.
